Brevite Backpack Review

Brevite (pronounced like brevity) founder Brandon bought a sewing machine, and made the first Brevite backpack. Together with his twin brothers Dylan and Elliot, he launched the first hybrid camera backpack. Five years later, Brevite offers four types of backpacks to choose from: two camera backpacks and two everyday backpacks.  Brevite is more than just backpacks; they are committed to incorporating recycled materials into all of their products, as well as giving back to the community.

What is the Brevite Backpack?

The Brevite Backpack is a laptop backpack that doubles as a regular backpack. With a slim sleeve that fits up to a 16-inch MacBook, the main compartment leaves plenty of room for all of your daily essentials (or, what we love it for: carry-on items!)

What Makes the Brevite Backpack Different?

This isn’t just a laptop bag, with an outer pocket that has slots for your passport, pens, and chargers, plus a spot to secure your keys, you will easily stay organized. The main compartment is roomy enough for clothes, including less bulky shoes like sandals or flats, a snack (always important when traveling), a book, and toiletries.

How Does the Brevite Backpack Measure Up?

Ease of Use: 10/10

It’s a backpack, so functionality is everything. The water bottle holder is easy to access, the compartments make for easy organization, and the main compartment is roomy.

Cost: 7/10

While you can certainly find cheaper laptop backpacks out there, at $95 the Brevite Backpack is worth every penny. The well-made design will last you for several years of travel, making it worth the extra cost. Plus, for a carry-on bag, less than $100 is reasonable.

Capacity: 8/10

It’s not the biggest backpack, but you know what you are getting when you buy it. For what it is: a lightweight, daily backpack, it holds everything you need. It’s just not ideal as your only carry-on for longer trips (unless you are an extremely light packer!)

Brevite Backpack Pros:

  • Available in ten colors
  • Lightweight
  • Is a laptop bag and carry-on bag/personal item in one.
  • Has handy luggage passthrough for securing to rolling luggage.

Brevite Backpack Cons:

  • Not big enough for holding all of your needs for a trip, so you’d need to check a bag, or use the backpack as your personal item, and have a bigger carry-on.
  • If it is too heavy, it is not as comfortable as when it is lighter.
